The Doghouse!

Tim and Jaxson built a doghouse for Favre this last weekend.  It matches the house which was one of my criteria.  They put it next to the house where they will be installing a dog run for him in the next couple of weeks.  I thought they did a great job.  They will be filling the underneath with rocks.  I think it looks great!!

Gifts from Jaxson's birth family

Jaxson has such a wonderful birth family.  His birthmom Spring gave him this really cool magnetic dart board and his birth grandparents gave him this cool t-shirt.  They are always so generous to Jaxson for his birthdays and Christmas.  Thank You to our wonderful birth family!!

Happy 11th Birthday Jaxson!!

Today was Jaxson's 11th Birthday!!  We can't believe how fast time goes.  He got his puppy Favre for his birthday early.  Chloe colored him a picture.  Tim and I gave him a sports illustrated magazine (Tim got on E-bay) of Brett Favre's farewell and also a Brett Favre Jersey (also E-bay).  He was so surprised!!  The pictures tell it all.

Jaxson got a puppy!!

Jaxson finally got a puppy.  He is a beautiful black lab.  His name is Favre (Farve).  Yes, like the football player.  Brett Favre is Jaxson's favorite football player and the Green Bay Packers are his favorite team.  Tim is hoping now that Brett has retired he can convert Jaxson to be a Dallas Cowboys Fan.  We will see.  Isn't he so cute??

Chloe and her Birthmom!

Chloe's birthmom Melissa and her mother Chris came for Chloe's baptism.  It was the first time that Melissa's mother was able to see Chloe since she was 6 weeks old.  Chloe and Melissa had fun playing Guitar Hero after dinner.  The next day they went back to Utah.

Chloe and four of her friends were baptized on the same day!!

There were 13 - 8 year olds getting baptized from our Stake on that Saturday.  5 were from our Ward.  Here is Chloe with her friends that she was baptized with.  Kaitlyn, Talon, Chloe, Max and Mallary.

Extreme Home Makeover

Last July, Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition was in our little town.  A family from our Stake was chosen.  We got to go and see the progression of the house and the kids got their picture taken with Ty Pennington.  He also signed their shirts.  They were so excited!!

We went to Strawberry Reservoir and went crawdadding with our family.

Adopting Again!!

Yes, we have decided to adopt again.  It has definitely been a whirlwind of a decision.  Tim has known for a couple of years.  Me, on the other hand, it has been true denial at its finest. Chloe is 8 and in 2nd grade.  That is a huge age gap.  Plus, we are old now :-)  but we are stable now so, will a birthmom really choose us?

It was March 1st that Tim and I were talking and he had what he calls his "Come to Jesus" meeting with me :-).  I admitted that I knew but that I was scared.  He uses his "Fear and Faith don't exist in the same vessel" lecture, but it still doesn't change that this was a huge decision we were making.

Most people can decide "Okay, we are suppose to have more kids, let's try and get pregnant". With us, adoption is our way.  Truthfully, adoption is the best.  I don't have the pain and agony that comes from pregnancy and delivery.  However, with adoption, we just don't know when that baby is going to come.  When your pregnant you have a due date.  Adoption, you can wait years.

When I know, then I know and I go for it full force.  On March 5th we turned in our application to LDS Family Services and for those of you who know, there is a gob of paperwork (which now can be done online - YEAH!!).  Thank you to all of you who sent in reference letters so quickly because of the speed of the references we were able to finish our paperwork really fast.  Fingerprints, Doctors and Home Study is complete.  LDS Family Services takes our family to the adoption committee tomorrow and then we will be approved.  That is pretty close to 6 weeks from start to finish.  With Jaxson, it took 8 months to be approved and with Chloe it took almost a year to be approved.  For those of you who don't know, the only way birthmoms see your file is if you are approved.  This is one WAY FAST approval!!!  I will keep everyone updated!!

Love to all!!

MY FIRST BLOG!!

Hello to All!!

This is my first blog. I have heard about this for years but it has only been recently that I have really understood what this thing called blogging really means. Thanks to some great friends who have introduced me to this experience by sending me their own blog invitations. I will mention you by name so you will know how much I love you and miss you. Thank you Abra Riley, Sarah Galbraith and Bethany Mitchell!!

I can't believe it is already April. Chloe was baptised on March 29th and Jaxson is turning 11 on April 24th. Jaxson got a new black lab puppy for an early birthday present. He named him Favre (Farve) after Brett Favre. Brett Favre is his favorite player and the Green Bay Packers is his favorite team. Now that Brett has retired Tim is hoping that Jaxson will convert and love the Dallas Cowboys with him. Good Luck!!

Tim is out of town in Seattle on business for a couple of days. I will have to fill you all in on all of the details about our decision to adopt again later, I have to go and get ready for "Dancing with the Stars". See Ya!!
